Monday Musings

I hope you'll excuse the fact that this is not really a musing, but I wanted to share a snippet of the weekend with you. Yesterday, my friend and I went to the Alameda Antiques Market.  On the first Sunday of every month, there is a huge flea market down by the water, and I've wanted to go ever since we moved here. It is such fun to check out all the wares and to have some good food from the food trucks set up there. The weather was in full on summer mode, which was kind of pleasant, although I am pretty excited to get to fall, myself. It wasn't too easy to snap photos because some people are very concerned that you will rip off their designs, but since I am not terribly crafty, I think they are safe from me. I did try to get a smattering to show you some of the fun things we saw.

I bought this little tray for five dollars! I love it.

This lady was SUPER mad at me for taking a picture. Look at her "No Photo" sign. Well, I did it, and here it is. I am quite sure I am not going to try to make that chair or paint that moose, so I am not sure what she was annoyed about.

Just a sense of the whole landscape. We were across the water from San Francisco, and had a pretty good view of the city.

I love all the Halloween and fall decor. It reminded me that I had lots of decorations to pull out of the closet to make our place festive. A great way to spend a Sunday. If you are in the area, I recommend it!

Happy Monday!
