Monday Musings

I went to a lecture on Friday about the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi. The basic idea behind this world view is that everything is impermanent, and there is perfection in imperfection. According to the illustrious research tool, Wikipedia, wabi-sabi has three basic tenants: nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect. The colleague of mine giving the lecture said that he tries to practice wabi-sabi by noticing the beauty in the everyday things around him. This weekend, I tried to do the same. And look what I found...

Hope you had a wabi-sabi kind of weekend. Happy Monday.
