New York Living Room Inspiration

My brother and his fiance want to overhaul their living room. They were thinking about an
olive-y/fern wall color, which I wasn't entirely in support of until, while visiting with them two weekends ago, I went for brunch at the stunningly beautiful Imperial No. 9 in SoHo. It is the restaurant in the Mondrian Hotel.

It is difficult to get the entire vibe of the place from a photograph, but the middle of the room has a table with a stunning display of glass vessels, and the colors of the room are fern and periwinkle. While I wouldn't have liked the fern with other earth tones alone, the periwinkle elevates the whole design scheme.

Check out these images from Lonny Magazine for more color inspiration:

Check back tomorrow for the beginning of the re-design!
